I came here in 1973. At that time, high-tech was a fancy stereo system. You were living large if you were able to work with C&P telephone to get a phone in your dorm room. But that wasn't a real necessity. Most of the information came out in the Collegiate Times, there were computers on campus. So when it came time to complete your schedule, you used your paper catalog, paper timetable of classes, filled in an OBSCAN sheet, and turned it in to your advisor. You got your schedule back, and if you needed to change, rearrange, drop, add, you had to go find the right office where they had a terminal. You stood in line, and you filled out a drop-add form. And the person would sit there and they would type in the info, they would drop your class. Hopefully you got the other class added. You may not be able to get the class back that you dropped because someone else somewhere else picked it up . As time has gone on that's now all within the student's control.
