On March 12, 2018, a gradual rollout of Banner 9 administrative pages
began in a few administrative offices on campus, including the Bursar’s
Office, the Registrar’s Office, and others. Banner 9 is the next
generation of the university's enterprise resource planning system,
which provides integrated management of our core business
processes. Banner 9 administrative pages are replacing Banner 8
INB. Between now and the end of the fiscal year, you will see central
administrative offices begin transitioning to Banner 9 administrative
pages - you may notice a new interface and additional perks including
expanded browser options, and tablet device functionality. Departmental
Banner Users will begin a transition to Banner 9 administrative pages
after August 1, 2018.
Banner 9 brings a more modern user interface, along with a technology upgrade that will lay the foundation for easier integration with other systems in the future. The implementation of Banner 9 administrative pages will not change the business processes themselves, nor the underlying databases that enable them. Because of this continuity, it will be possible for both Banner 8 INB and Banner 9 administrative pages to coexist in the same environment throughout the transition. The switch should be complete well before Banner 8 INB is retired on December 31, 2018.
