Partnerships extending beyond the university

The Division of IT is helping to advance technological innovation, promote cybersecurity education, and foster economic growth in Virginia and beyond through partnerships with other universities as well as nationally recognized professional organizations with shared goals.

The Common Solutions Group is a coalition of research universities who work together to advocate for the development and dissemination of effective technology solutions to meet ever-changing research needs. 

EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association, consisting of more than 2,000 member organizations, whose mission is to advance higher education through the use of information technology.

Internet2, formally titled the University Corporation for Advanced Internet Development (UCAID), is a community of higher education, research institutions, government entities, and cultural organizations who provide cloud solutions, research support, and services tailored for research and education.

The Mid-Atlantic Research Infrastructure Alliance (MARIA) is an alliance of institutions in Virginia established to promote the development of shared advanced network and other cyberinfrastructure resources to serve the Mid-Atlantic region.

SANS is a collaborative professional organization dedicated to creating a safer global community by proivding training, education, and resources for current and future cybersecurity professionals.
