Ashima Athri is a software developer at Rackspace in Blacksburg. Previously she worked in software development with Citrix and Microsoft in India. Athri completed her undergraduate studies in computer science at the National Institute of Technology, in Suratkal, India, and earned a master's in computer science at Virginia Tech. She started out her programming career in C but has since moved on to more dynamic languages like JavaScript and Python. Ashima loves giving tech talks on technologies that interest her, and has given a number of talks on JavaScript, Docker and Cassandra.
