Dress Code
For this event, we want you to be comfortable, so anything from casual to ‘business casual' is fine! Tidy-looking t-shirts, shorts, sandals, or jeans are all ok.
If you’re planning to get a portrait on Wednesday morning, be sure to wear something that will be good for that - the best portrait clothing options are colorful and medium- to high-contrast, but avoiding busy patterns or shirts with slogans.
Parking
Since both days of our event are happening at The Inn at Virginia Tech, free parking will be available in the Inn parking lot. Overflow parking, if needed, is available at the University Mall Parking Garage. Parking at the Corporate Research Center (which includes the additional spaces that groups will move to during unit breakouts) is also free.
Note for out of town participants staying at the Inn: At check in, each of you will be given a pass to display on your dashboard for the duration of your stay.
Optional Evening Activities
Come have some fun at one or more of these optional evening events! Add your name below the ones you plan to attend. If you can provide a ride for your co-workers, please indicate that as well. Attendance is not capped for any of these, so please add your name and make the list longer if needed! Note: we will need people to sign up for things by 2pm on Tuesday for the Tuesday-evening events, and by 2pm on Wednesday for the Wednesday-evening events. Events with no one signed up may be cancelled after 2pm each day.
Awards and Recognition
The deadlines for submitting awards nominations and self-reporting certifications / degrees for recognition at this event has passed. Thanks everyone for your submissions!
We are excited to recognize and celebrate our outstanding employees on the afternoon of September 10th!
