Information Technology Learning Systems (ITLS) builds, maintains, and supports our ecosystem of tools for teaching and learning at Virginia Tech. As a close partner to Technology-enhanced Learning and Online Strategies (TLOS), this team runs our core Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas, including managing the vendor relationship and providing integration support for roughly 50 external partners and tools. Other parts of our learning ecosystem supported by ITLS include Zoom (video conferencing), Kaltura (video content management), Course Evaluations & Surveys (end of term student surveys), Canvas Catalog (for our Professional Development Network), LinkedInLearning, WordPress for teaching and learning, and our learning data analytics infrastructure. This team is fully cloud focused, managing an AWS footprint for teaching and learning, providing associated software development services, and handling tier 3 support for the aforementioned Software as a Service (SaaS) systems.
