Project Resources and Staffing Plan

Project resources and staffing planning involves identifying a project team that possess the skills required to perform the work, as well as identifying the tools, equipment, facilities, and other resources needed by the project team. In scheduling resources, the project manager must ensure that both the people and the equipment are available simultaneously. The resources and staffing plan provides a blueprint for project resource availability. Be sure to read the instructions and definitions page for guidance.

Directions For Use

1. Save a copy of the IT Project Resources and Staffing Plan (Excel | pdf).
2. Review the "Instructions+Definitions" page.
3. Complete the IT Project Resources and Staffing Plan worksheet.
4. Use worksheet information as appropriate to complete the project scope form.
5. If desirable, attach the completed worksheet to the project scope form.
6. Store completed worksheet with the other project management documentation in the project document repository.
