Managing your QuestionPro survey data
Depending on your current use of QuestionPro, you may need to download survey data, close surveys, and/or migrate surveys over the coming months.
How you proceed will depend on many factors, including the nature of your data (research or administrative), and whether any of your surveys will continue collecting data past April 15, 2027.
Key dates to know
- April 30, 2026: End of new survey creation in QuestionPro. Existing surveys will continue to function normally.
- April 15, 2027: End of QuestionPro support. Those who have longitudinal and/or grant-funded research that will require exception to this cutoff in QuestionPro can file a request for extension here.
Important considerations regarding QuestionPro survey data
- Research data retention requirements still apply even if a survey is closed. Refer to this document on research survey and response data storage and retention procedures.
- Downloading the survey does NOT download the survey’s response data. You must download these items separately from QuestionPro.
- Only users with ownership or shared access can take action on a survey and its data directly. If you are no longer the appropriate owner, or if the original owner has left the university, please contact the survey tools support team for assistance.
